UdSU scientists took part in the IV International Conference "Modern problems of biological evolution"

On October 17-20, 2022, the IV International Conference "Modern Problems of Biological Evolution" was held in Moscow at the Darwin State Museum, in which 166 scientists from 18 cities of Russia took part.

Udmurt State University was represented by Associate Professor of the Department of Botany, Zoology and Bioecology of the Institute of Natural Sciences Ivan Ermolaev with the plenary report "Non-periodic Population Waves as a Result of Anthropogenic Influences" and Professor of the Department of Geography, Cartography and Geoinformatics of the same UdSU Institute Stanislav Puchkovsky with the report "The Potential of Elimination of Individuals for the Management of Brown Bear Populations". The reports of our scientists rose keen interest among their colleagues. Seven sections and five round tables worked during the conference. The topics of the presented reports reflect the current issues of the modern dynamics of living systems of the biosphere and the results of new attempts to comprehend the process of evolution in geological time scales.

The materials of the conference (in digital format) can be found in the collection "Modern problems of biological evolution: materials of the IV International Conference on the 875th anniversary of Moscow and the 115th anniversary of the founding of the State Darwin Museum".
