UdSU rector congratulates the Russian Center of the Granada University with its 5th anniversary

On May 29 our partner institution – the University of Granada (Spain) - held an event dedicated to the 5th anniversary of its Russian Center. The UdSU Rector Prof. Galina V. Merzlyakova congratulated the Center in her welcome address. The cooperation between UdSU and the Spanish university dates back 25 years. And it yielded the most fruitful results in the field of Philology. The activities included cooperation in research, students and teaching staff academic exchange, joint projects to promote the study of Russian and Spanish languages, joint double-degree bachelor programme.

‘I reckon that the choice of Granada University for opening the Russian Center is well-grounded: it recognizes the contribution of Granada scientists and teachers into promotion of Russian language and culture, development of theoretical and applied research in the area of Slavic Studies. WE are happy that besides long-established tradition of joint philological we have managed to implement a number of projects with the Russian Center.’ pointed out UdSU Rector in her congratulatory speech.

We also highly value the personal contribution of the Prof. Enrique Quero Gervilla (Prof. Emeritus of UdSU, the Director of the Russian Center) into study and promotion of Russian language and culture. His great efforts help strengthen friendship and cooperation between our countries and universities.

We extend our sincere congratulations to the Russian Center and wish them successful implementation of all current and future projects!
