This year SCImago Institutions Rankings placed our university the 5th among Russian universities and 13th among higher educational institutions of the Eastern Europe in Mathematics subject area.
The SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) is a classification of academic and research-related institutions ranked by a composite indicator that combines three different sets of indicators based on research performance, innovation outputs and societal impact measured by their web visibility.
High SIR ranking of the Udmurt State University is not something unexpected: it is the result of many years of strenuous research conducted by UdSU scholars. In area of mathematics, the research is both fundamental and interdisciplinary, closely linked with IT, physics, economics etc.
