The 6th All-Russian Scientific Conference “Finno-Ugric World in the Polyethnic Space of Russia: Cultural Heritage and New Challenges"

On June 4–7, 2019, the 6th All-Russian Scientific Conference “Finno-Ugric World in the Polyethnic Space of Russia: Cultural Heritage and New Challenges” is held in Izhevsk. The topical issues of Finno-Ugric linguistics, folklor and literary studies, musical culture, ethnic history, and modern ethno-social processes are on agenda.

The Conference will also feature a meeting of the Russian Committee on Finno-Ugric Studies, plenary sessions and round-table discussions, such as " Problems of creating a national language corpus” and “ Education without Borders”.

Some designated panels will be devoted to the topics of "Actual Issues of Grammar and History of Language", "Dialects and Onomastics of Finno-Ugric Languages", "Finno-Ugric Languages ​​and Cultures in Educational Space and in Modern Society” etc.

Over 200 people are expected to attend from different Russian regions and from abroad: the Komi Republic, the Republic of Mari El, the Republic of Mordovia, the Republic of Karelia, the Perm Krai, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District, Hungary, Slovakia, Estonia, Finland, Austria, etc.
