On June 15th, UdSU welcomed a delegation of Sri Lankan students from Moscow universities.
The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the Udmurt State University, the Udmurt Republic, and to hold a cultural and educational event “Evening of Sri Lankan Culture” for UdSU students.
The guests were given a university tour to show the university facilities and to present the UdSU degree programmes. 3D printers, and the educational and scientific laboratories of departments or Environmental Biotechnologies and Chemical Technologies caught their special attention. The visitors had many questions about research achievements.
UdSU students majoring in Tourism organized an interactive walking tour through the center of Izhevsk for foreign guests.
The evening of the Sri Lankan culture, held by the guests for UdSU students and the faculty, presented the culture of this country through its music, songs, dances and national dishes. The festive program was very much appreciated by the participants who emphasized its warm and friendly atmosphere.
The Sri Lankan students had a chance to learn about the Udmurt Republic through participation in the annual festival of the Udmurt culture “Gerber” and a visit to the House of Friendship of Peoples of Udmurt Republic, organized with the support of the Udmurt Ministry of National Policy.
