Russian-Uzbek Scientific, Educational and Cultural Center opened at UdSU

The Russian-Uzbek Scientific, Educational and Cultural Center was opened on the basis of the UdSU, reports the Ministry of Education and Science of the Udmurt Republic.

The center was created to implement scientific, educational and cultural projects, promote the Russian and Uzbek languages and cultures, and assist in the cultural and academic adaptation of UdSU students from Uzbekistan. Currently 170 students from Uzbekistan are studying at UdSU. The students initiated the establishment of the UdSU Association of Uzbek Students named Ziyo ("Mind") and presented activities planned for implementation this academic year.

The programme of the opening ceremony also included an online presentation and excursion to the Tchaikovsky estate museum "I grew up in the wilderness ...", presentation of the UdSU Department of Music and Performing Arts and a report of the representatives of the Uzbekistan Conservatory "Tchaikovsky's name in Uzbekistan" . The programme was finalized with a joint online concert of students from UdSU and partner universities, musical performances of the Orchestra of Uzbek national musical instruments ”Sogdiana” and the Ensemble of Udmurt traditional instruments "Maday".
