One of the most touching and heartfelt events within the framework of the All-Russian Forum with international participation "The Image of Udmurtia in the modern cultural space" took place on October 26 in the Department of Local history, national and Finno-Ugric literature of the V.A. Zhuravlev Educational and Scientific Library. The Department of International Education and Cooperation, the Institute of Udmurt Philology, Finno-Ugric Studies and Journalism organized a musical meeting with the folklore band "Babushki from Buranovo" called "Language is the soul of the nation" for UdSU students and partners from Uzbekistan.
The program of the event included musical performances by the world-famous folklore collective "Babushki from Buranovo", the student folklore and ethnographic ensemble "Chipchirgan", the musical group "Ogonek" of the Russian Cultural Center of Namangan region. The presentation of the Institute of Udmurt Philology, Finno-Ugric Studies and Journalism of UdSU and its educational programs, as well as the presentation of projects aimed at preserving and popularizing of the Udmurt language and culture implemented by the youth of Udmurtia were also presented to the participants.
