On April 6th our delegation visiting the Uzbek Republic within the business mission of the Udmurt Republic took part in two important events.
In the first half of the day the Round Table was held in hokimiyat (municipal administration office) of Tashkent city. It was devoted to the Russian-Uzbek industrial and educational cooperation issues. The Vice-Executive of the UR government Mikhail Khomich greeted the audience and presented the export and economic potential of our republic. The members of the business delegation introduced major UR enterprises. Next, the delegations of the UR higher educational institutions presented the Izhevsk State Medical Academy, the Udmurt State University and the Glazov State Pedagogical University. On Uzbek side, educational matters were covered by the Head of the Tashkent Central Administration for Public Education in Tashkent city Kozimzhon Hasanov. Later in the agenda followed Q&A session. According to Mariia Beznosova “Our Uzbek colleagues are much interested in building partnership relations, especially as regards studying and teaching Russian as a foreign language”. Another promising cooperation area is pre-university training.
In the afternoon the delegations of our universities met the representatives of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Education of the Uzbek Republic and the Head of Rossotrunichestvo Office in Uzbekistan M. Vozhdaev. At the end of the reception, the parties moved to the open dialogue to discuss possible cooperation areas.
Today is the closing day of the mission. UdSU delegation is supposed to meet their counterparts from the Urgench State University and the Uzbek National University n.a. Mirzo Ulugbek. We wish them a good day and successful negotiations!
